One of the best episodes of Season 3 was "Sins of the Father." This was the beginning of a series of fantastic stories revolving around Worf, and the Klingon Empire. Another favorite was "Deja Q", where the infamous villain Q loses his god status, and must learn humility, and what being human is all about.

I feel like Season 3 almost universally ranks towards the top of fans' favorite seasons, and it's easy to see why. I think the characters were finally fleshed out, the show wasn't afraid to go in a more serious direction, but at the same time, the issues they dealt with could still happen at your high school.
